The is a photograph is of merchant stalls in Souq Al Tabareez which is located in Nizwa beside Souq Al Sansara and the eastern souq. These traditional stalls sold fruits, vegetables, and local goods such as honey, mollases, vinegar and rose water. This souq was right next to Souq Al Sansara where agricultural goods were sold near the banks of “Kalboh valley. Unfortunately, this souq was destroyed during the flood in 1982 that impacted Kalboh and Abyad valleys. This souq was thus relocated to a safer area away from flood zones at the southern border of Souq Al Sansara.
