The picture shows a visit by the ministry of social affairs and labor employees to one of the sheikhs in Farq district, Nizwa. Right to left: Mr. Khalifa Ali Mohammed Al Esmaeili, Salim Mohsin Al Beimani; Sheikh Mohammed Zahir Khalfan Al Abri who was the Sheikh of “Farq” villag in Nizwa and who passed away on September 15th, 2022; and Nasser Hilal Mohammed Al Nabhani from Nizwa who passed away on a Friday morning on the 9th of March, 2006. The sheikh in the middle is carrying a reed cane even while indoors as for Omani men it is a symbol of status and formality.
