This photograph is of young Omani girls learning Arabic grammar and memorizing the holy Quran in “Al Farq” village Quran school in Nizwa. Traditional Omani outfits have always been colorful and handmade in homes. They are distinguished by the golden and silver threads of embroidery that depict geometrical shapes and plant life. Pictured from right to left: the first girl is wearing a thick silver anklet called “Hujool”; the girl next to her is wearing large silver earrings better seen in another photograph, she is also wearing silver bracelets and a special pin called “Shikam” used to hold scarves in place or on the dress for decorative purposes.

The poster will be wrapped in the elegant box accompanied by a certificate proving ownership signed and stamped by Dar Al Sorat
